Public sector employees will enjoy a holiday ranging from 10 to 11 days, providing ample time to prepare for Eid and spend quality time with their families. This holiday also includes employees of the Ministry of Health, who will receive the same duration of leave.
For private sector employees, the Eid al-Fitr holiday 2025 is shorter compared to the public sector. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Eid al-Fitr holiday for the private sector begins at the end of the workday on Saturday, 29 Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025, and lasts for four days, until Thursday, 3 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 3, 2025. Employees will return to work on Friday, 4 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 4, 2025.
However, some private companies may grant longer holidays to their employees based on their internal policies, as some organizations have the right to extend the holiday or offer alternatives such as additional rest days or financial compensation.
The Ministry of Education confirmed that the Eid al-Fitr holiday 2025 for schools will begin on Thursday, 20 Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 23, 2025, following the end of the workday on Wednesday, 19 Ramadan 1446 AH. The holiday will continue until Saturday, 7 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 5, 2025, with classes resuming on Sunday, 8 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 6, 2025.
